WHAT WILL THE CHARGES BE FOR THE ROOM IF MY HUSBAND/WIFE/PARTNER ACCOMPANIES ME BUT IS NOT ATTENDING THE TRAINING?
Due to limited room availability, this retreat is not suitable for couples unless both parties are attending.

July, 2027 Check-in: 3:00 PM | Check-out: 10:00 AM
Orientation is at 5:00 pm. Please do not arrive late or leave early. It is important that we open and close the group circle together.
What airport do I fly into?
Fly into Faro Airport (airport code: FAO).
Are airport transfers included? No, airport transfers are not included.
What are the accommodations like?
Our holistic center offers comfort and space designed for relaxation and practice. Yoga spaces feature round wood architecture and heated cork floors, inspired by the Brazilian rainforest. Rooms are cozy and simply decorated to help you unwind and feel cared for.
How do I get to Monte Velho?
Faro Airport is 1 hour and 15 minutes away. Here are your options:
Rent a car: Drive yourself (about 1 hour 20 minutes). Transfer service: Around €120-140 each way. Sharing with other participants lowers the cost. We can help arrange transfers. A larger van for 8 people costs €160-180
Public transport (cheapest, but takes longer): Bus to Faro train station, train to Lagos, then walk to Lagos bus station. Bus to Vila do Bispo, then a taxi (€25) to Monte Velho. We can book a taxi for you.
Transfers from Lisbon Airport: 8-person van: €350-380; 4-person taxi: €295-320. Monte Velho can help organize these transfers, but once booked, it’s your responsibility to stay in touch with the driver for any delays or changes.

Can I rent a car or bike nearby?
Car rental: Best arranged at Faro Airport. Closest rental services are in Lagos: Luzcar LagoRent. Bike rental is available in Carrapateira through Bikes - Carrapateira Extreme Tours & Activities.
Is there a town within walking distance? Carrapateira is 4 km away. It has restaurants, small shops, and two beautiful beaches. You can get there by taxi, car, bike, or on foot (for those comfortable walking).
Are there beaches nearby?
Carrapateira’s beaches, Amado and Bordeira, are about 3.5 km away:
By car: 6 minutes. By taxi or bike: 20 minutes to Amado Beach. Walking: About 1 hour 15 minutes to Amado Beach
Are there shops or restaurants nearby?
Yes, Carrapateira has a shop, restaurants, and bars.
What are the surfing prices? 1.5-hour session: €45

WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE IN JULY AND AUGUST?
Days are warm, nights are cool. The beach is warm, but the Atlantic Ocean water is in the 60s Fahrenheit. Great for a cool plunge!
What other activities are available?

Can participants choose between full and half meal plans?
No, the entire group must select full meal plans.
What is the food like?
Vegetarian and vegan buffet with organic and local products. Adaptations for allergies and intolerances are available. Brunch and dinner cost the same as three meals.
Can we cook on-site?
No, only our catering team can use the kitchen. 16. Are massages available? Yes, 1-hour massages cost €70 (cash payment). Our options include deep tissue, Ayurvedic, Thai, and more. Specialized therapies such as acupuncture and physiotherapy are also available. Book in advance.
Do you offer laundry service?
Not regularly, but a basic laundry service is available for €5.
How are rooms cleaned?
Daily cleaning of rooms and bathrooms (beds are not made). Towels replaced mid-retreat. Extra towels available upon request.
Can guests camp or use camper vans?
No, guests must stay in our rooms or dorms.
What if guests arrive early?
Check-in starts at 3:00 PM. Early arrivals can contact reception in advance to check availability. Guests can leave luggage in the lobby and explore the area while waiting for their room.
Are yoga mats and props provided?
Yes, we provide mats, blocks, bolsters, straps, and other props.
Is there Wi-Fi? Wi-Fi is available in the main hall and reception area.
Is there a reception on-site?
On check-in and check-out days, staff are available all day. During retreats, reception is open from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
